Reputation/Points

I was thinking about the points bartering system, and the reputation, ect, and I was wondering if we could make reputation count towards points? Like 1 negative rep= 50-100 points and 1 positive rep= 25-50 points

This way people people who go around spamming and tick people off would have the rep subtracted from their points. This would discourage point whoring(It finally has a different definition Laughing

) and would encourage intelligent posting. Maybe we could also implement the reverse, where you could trade in your reputation for points. Like if people just make guides, and don't post a whole lot, and can still have substantial point values.

I agree, although I'd say it should be something like -25 points for 1 negative rep and then +15 points for 1 positive rep

And I agree on the smaller numbers. More of a booster system type deal with lesser numbers to discourage but not totally kill someone's points, and possibly be traded in to push you JUST over the top for being able to afford one... Smile

Does the length of the posts have anything to do with points? Or starting threads, or something? Cause I have like 20 posts 50 points, and I saw someone with 55 posts, 60 points Laughing

Yah, I think it's to do with where it's posted. So the lounge probably gets you less points

I thought you could choose the points per topic thingo, so just make it 0

I don't think it's possible to do that. Also, I don't think non-admins have as much ability to delete things as us, so what they see may be different.

It's only the last post that we can delete but the others of ours we can't. Now you can't delete yours. HAHA
